been a while

Sorry 'bout that!

Things are chugging along. I'm thinking more and more about little flights to save time so long as I'm not missing out on ferry rides. Not too much drama on that fromt though.

Actually, my current idea is that it may be a good idea to buy a used car. The story is too long and not amusing in any way, so I won't bore you with where this thought came from, but now I'm obsessively looking at small cars and thinking about picking one up.

There's a little 1994 Mazda 323 nearby that seems good. It's standard and apparetnly everything works, (vague, I know) 180 000 km's on it, and no rust on the body. I haven't seen the underside, and since I can't drive standard (yet!!) I don't know how it sounds. I'm going to go look at it soon thought. They want $1995 for it, so I guess somehow I'd pay less if that worked out. I'm so crap at negotiating though, I'm temptted to send someone else to do the work. Or, I guess I can suck it up and learn how to do it! It's exciting thought, fun to think about. I'm reading up at the library and passing birthdays waiting for the computer to load reviews on the model etc. I'm very impatient with it all! I want it to work out. I'd use it for the west and the north, and Ontario, but probably not yhe east because I want to use the ferries and the buses are good, and a car would get in my way.

I'm going NUTS with the slow internet! I've been 20 minutes to get the most basic sites, but I can't stop because I'm techniclly making progress. You know how some people calculate how long you spend sleeping, eating, laughing in your whole life...we'll I'm racking up my internet-rage minutes over here.

Aaaaaand I have a proxy timeout on the car review site. Stupendous. I'll be right back. grrr!

Other then that, no news. I'll go crazy if I sit around much more. The car diversion is working, but if it works out, I swear I'm going to test out the new wheels and learn to drive the thing and then hit the road. I feel like I have a lot of ground to cover, and there's no point in hanging around, you know?

Well, sorry I have no real anecdotes for the moment. It drives hoe the point that I need to light a fire under my own butt and get on with it.

Blogger keeps losing my posts! Bah!

see ya! xoxo
