I went somewhere!!!
Not, like, Japan or anything, but I got out of the city which was a necessary thing.
Here's how it all began. I was trying to sew a dress and my machine wasn't co-operating. I had a reaction that was slightly out of proportion to the crime of the machine (not working) and I had to give myself a time out. I decided that my problem was that the dress making was my only activity for the day, and since I couldn't work on it I would be at loose ends once again, and then I lost it (just a little, I swear!).
So I called my mom to complain and she helpfully offered me the car for the week, which makes her AWESOME. I then called up some uni pals of mine and told them I was coming. Then I asked if that was okay. Then I got in the car and drov to Kingston first, to hang out with Meg, then off to Georgian bay for a bit to check out my girl Kim.
Basically, they saved my life.
The weather sucked, but the trip was a success and I feel so much better. I love to see those girls and so I was delighted to do it before I take off for a bit. Now, I have camping coming up, then a wedding, then I'm still on the lookout for a small used car, then I'm on my way east. eeee!
Man, both Kingston and Georgian Bay are just beautiful places to be. I could live in either place. And, based on my previous moving habits, I probably will.
Other than that, I'm focussing on finding a car that's reliable and nice and on the cheap. Unlike everypne else in the market, surely. Boo wanting a little too much! I'll surelykeep you posted. And, I swear, actual adventures will follow soon enough, I promise. I've planned so little for this trip (despite copious amounts of time to do it) if I don't have adventures pretty much right away, I'll have to assume that my mom is following me around and making hostel bookings for me on the sly or something. Which, now that I think about it, could be cool.
Just kidding, mom!
Okay, I'm off for a bit. When I get back next week I'll be able to tell you all about exotic Murphy's Point Provincial Park. oooo! I know, I know. If I have to , I'll break it down into instllments. heh.
see ya!

PS: The Danny Finkleman Fan Club Party hosted by the Prez for Life was exceptional and I had a really nice time. there was lots of food, some prized, almost 200 people, and of course, the man himself. I was duly inpressed and have to see that if anyone wants to be in the club (it's free and the backyard party was a good example of the only meetings our club has, if you catch my drift). Drop me and e-mail, especially if you have any questions (of use the comments). It's well worth it. Also, you can listen to the last Finkleman show this coming saturday at 8 pm till 10 pm (and some other slightly different time in Newfoundland) on CBC radio one. Give'r a whirl at least once before the man punches his card at the old CBC one last time.
Okey doke, that's it for me. Later gators
