Catch up

Well I don't know why my text is underlined, and I obviously didn't take the time to turn my pictures on their side, but oh well. Crank your head an feast your eyes on the set of 200+ stairs up the clay cliffs which we roll our bikes up and down on our commute to town. Lots of motivations (read: cursing) speech on that set, and routinely there are ladies doing laps up ad down. Sometimes I try to remember y CPR because I can't imagine people doing 2, 4, 10 trips up and down and not needing some kind of defibrillation.  Lord knows I do, although I'm noticing it's easier each time I do it! I'm kicking my own ass the old fashioned way and it beats the alternative, which involves hauling ass up Two Mile Hill (which I hear is a conservative estimate anyways). Also sorry the picture is washed out!
This helicopter was doing turns and spins in the clearing across the road form us. I took this picture from our balcony. I was too shy to snap a picture when the heli was right on top of the road because I was pretty much eye to eye with the pilot and I felt weird about it. So cool, and I still have no idea what was happening. Forest fire water drop practice?

Again on the way in to town, this is the view form the top of the clay cliffs just behind the airport. The stairs are nearby. You can see the town, the industrial area (all while with fuel spheres) to the north, and the river too, if you squint or enlarge.
Flying kites last weekend at Rotary Park. There's a burrito van there and you can see the Klondike, an old paddle wheeler used as a museum and welcome to the south access of town. The river is just beyond the boat there, maybe 200m away. The mosquitos were harsh but it was worth it.
Oh that picture of town again. Next time I'll go further down the path and take the pic of the view o the south end of town including the Yukon river snaking it's way towards Marsh Lake.

Yay pictures!! It looks so nice up there, it is interesting how the cliffs basically hug whitehorse. You two look great!
