This morning at about 6:30 I pulled up the blinds in the bathroom as a nice gesture to the cats who would benefit from the sunlight that would eventually filterin when the sun rose at a more decent hour.
Our bathroom window looks out onto the second floor roof of our neighbour (unoccupied, but recently purchased by someone, hopefully very very handy). On the roof, looking at me and about 10 feet away was a full grown possum! I'm really excited about this because I'm not sure if I've ever seen a big, close live possum before (I say live because once on a family holiday somewhere warm we saw a baby possum which was hanging from its tail from one power lilne, its nose gracefully resting on the power line below, and it was most definitely fried).
Anyway, so cool! So big, like a raccoon! Rob took a couple of pictures, so if they turned out and I get around to it later when I'm home I'll post them. Whee!
Other than that, we had a lovely ride in this morning and I am marking at the school. This entry is my reward for finishing 10 papers. I get to check my email every 10 papers. Heh, life is nice :-)
Have a wonderful, wildlifey day.
