I made you a mix tape

But since I don't really download music, here is a YouTube mix tape.

Would you like to make a mix tape? Keep it under 13 songs please, and show us who is awesome on youtube!

Also, this is not carefully crafted to be an experience like in that movie with John Cusack. Even so, enjoy :-)

1. Emiliana Torrini - Sunny Road (Mellow and interesting, I love the video)
2. Amy Millan - Skinny Boy (This is my favourite track on her newest album)
3. Leslie Feist - It's cool to love your family (this is almost 10 years old, but I think it's a keeper)
4. Menomena - Wet and rusting (heh, watch and love..organ donor check list?!)
5. Kaki King - Pull me out alive (no that I love the song, even though it is growing on me but the whole thing was made with still photographs!!! Also, it's not featured in this song but she's an amazing guitarist)
6. Julia Nunes - Woe (on Ukulele) Julia is a you tube star and she's awesome.
7. The New Pornographers - Myriad Harbor (I love this band, even the original no-Neko Case version...what's in YOUR hair?)
8. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Over and Over Again (which is how much I've made you all listen to this song)
9. The Darkness - I believe in a thing called love (because I believe in a thing called awesome)
10. Jens Lekman - Into the Light (Hallelujah for hand claps)
11. Peter, Bjorn and John - Object of my affection (yeah, we've all heard it, but whatever. Still good!)
12. Rilo Kiley - Silver Lining (This is an awesome band, check it!)
13. Emiliana Torrini - Unemployed in Summertime (maybe this could be a theme song?)

please do! there's so much out there, I wanna see what you come up with. It's fun, but I need to figure out how to embed the images. I'm guessing you take the embedding code from you tube and stuff it in the code version of blogger. ugh, I'll try it out for next time!

yay!
