Rehab and other bits and bobs

Hey, look up Amy Winehouse (also on the sidebar) and listen to her song 'Rehab". She's gone the way of the 50's and 60' girl bands with a funky tenor-sax kind of groove and I htink she's good. Also, apparent;y she's a total alcoholic, but I guess that's just another facet of her personality?

Also, my friend Vicky has a new site up called Infor Gopher, it's over there on the side bar as well (such convenience!). It's a site that brings you news, interesting/cool products and all kinds of flotsam and jetsam. Check it out early, and often!

Hmmm. I'm avoiding doing research on Also Leopold's Land ethis, which is dumb because obviously it's giong to have to happen. Though in general I am wasting time doing small little errand thingies. So it's not a total loss.

Also, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline (FedEx) are getting diverced. I feel bad for him, he found out via text message. I think he is sad. In the end it is a little sick that people take pleasure in the pain of others, celebrities or otherwise. 'Entertainment' doesn't actually have to be entertaining anymore, isn't that weird? I mean, Iguess it explains Mary Hart's career, but other than that? Not so much.

In other news, toay I called PC financial to finally see about depositing the leftover Australian dollars I have (funny, since having money in the wallett and it being non tradeable currency as a student is nothing short of IRONIC) and my wait time was so short the music didn't get a chance to kick in. Oh yeah.

Today I will visit my local LCBO, which is about 3 blocks away. It is also supposedly the largest LCBO in southwestern Ontario. Although I am mission hunting, I suspect my breath with catch a bit and I will have to see the gin display, at least.

I have three more weeks to 'flounder' as my thesis advisor puts it, until we lock ourselves into a room and sort something out. I am starting a scribble book to think about thesis ideas. Can anyone htink of anything cool that is not only interesting, but a thesis? I keep thinking of cool environmental tools to build (i.e. a way for communities to determine which enviro-project is best for them) but not research per se. I will keep you posted on any progress in that area.
