Ecobunk

I'm going to go this year to the Ecobunk awards and I think it's going to be excellent. It's getting to that point in the semester where it's all final papers and presentations (miss that, working people? heh) and marking and so-on. However, 'tis also the season of planning end of semester bashes and wine 'n cheese 'n chocolate's and other fun adventures.

I've had word that one of the other TA's has finished her marking and it's due by the end of this week SO it's totally on for that. I have a deadline and a goal: finish soon and try not to let my soul shrivel up knowing that over half I have marked have failed to identify a proper ecosystem in their massive final paper based on identifying a freaking ecosystem.

Ahem

Last night I went to a squash workshop (not the food, but that is a cool idea anyways!). I never officially signed up but went anyways, and since 8 of the 10 people didn't see fit to show up, three of us had a lesson witha pro...a nationallyt and provincially ranked player and ecperienced teacher. She was really fun and we had a wicked time. I like squash! It's $2 to borrow a racquet from the school so it's an affordable hobby. I also know a few people who will practice with me, and I can go in myself if I want toand work on my channel shot. Oh yes, I have a shot to work on. Whee!

This entry sucks, mostly because I have to go mark. Today's task is to do a pile or marking, some ishes and tidying, and maybe a bit more sauce making. We have anothe coupe of busheld of fruit to process and actually nowhere to keep the stuff..the freezer is nearing full and I don't have enough jars (or gumption to eat that much sauce in the fridge) so it'll have to be fruit roll-ups. This processing season is going FOREVER. I hope everyone I know likes applesauce. Really likes applesauce.

Ciao for now
