Watch the weather

It's been crazy weather for the last few days. First it rained farly hard or lke 36 hours straight (which made biking to school feel awesome, I was all wrapped up head to toe! PS, new on the christmas list: waterproof mitt covers!) and then it dies down but got really windy. I love wind, but I also love that I don't have any plans to leave tht house today. Also, it finally got cold enough that a tiny baby amount of snow stayed on the ground.

I'm nursing fantasies that I'll be able to snowshoe to school or to the eye doctor in Ottawa or something and I'll admit that when I saw the barely-there dusting outside I thought of my snoweshoes. I am becoming obsessive.

School is getting done, sort of. I still have a bunch of junk to write and I think I'm not relaly on board with the idea that it's December already because I still have that 'there's plenty of time!' feeling, which I expect will not serveme too well. The group meetings recently (Hi Claire and Meg!) have been good because they seem to always end with food and/or booze. That is a good motivator! I have made many promises of gin and tonic at our place, so hopefully we can sort that out too. Rob and I both like the lime gin, though it makesme sad that we don't really use the lime juice for anything but stir-fry now. Anyhoo, it's good, I reccommend it for a nice mix.

Hmm. I'm out of ideas for the moment. Surely more to come, if you decide t check back at any point. Today is CBC radio day! Tune ni if you're kicking around at home. Also, anybody looking for enviro work in Toronto to do with wind?

See you guys later, gators

the weather in o-town was miserable friday but i only know this because i saw from inside the house. we both woke up feeling crappy so we decided to stay home. i ended up not leaving the house for about 48 hours.

but now we have snow that is actually staying on the ground. it's nice and bright and white so i'm okay with it.
