So here's the deal.
Why can't I see my posts? All my posts are there in my little blogland, but once I load the site they are gone. Where did they go? I looked all over for them, and also for some weird button that might say 'un-randomly-hide all your posts' but lo, there was none.
I tried to change my template to see if that would work, and LO, IT SURE DID EXCEPT IT DECIDED TO ERASE ALL THE STUFF ON MY SIDEBAR.
So, goodbye laboriously added listing of 101 things to do in 1001 days, and goodbye carefully crafted links sections, though I suspect you'll be up soon enough, at least partially.
And for sure, goodbye to this crappy background! [edited to add...the background lasted 6 seconds since it's a one click thing, and if I'm flippantly dumping any customizations everytime I change it, I may as well test drive a few, eh? How do we feel about green? Good?]
blarg!
Silver lining: I didn't lose my posts. Does anyone have any idea how I can back them up on a cd or something? Danke! Have a loverly day!
kisses on your lipses!

hooray, you're back! And with new colours
Sucks about the sidebar. Don't think there's any going back on that one. Thank you, school of hard knocks.
I know of no easy way to back up your posts. Just keep your fingers crossed that blogger has an effective backup routine (pretty certain - they'd get boatloads of bad press if 30000 people lost their online lives.)
By the way, here's an interesting tidbit to make tomorrow extra-special. Check your (digital) clock early tomorrow morning. It's the only time you'll ever see this - 01:02:03 04/05/06 - unless of course you want to cheat a bit and use a 12-hour clock. Then you can see it twice.
Cool clock thing-a-majigger. I still don't get the month-day-year bit though, why do people do that? It seems less logical than the day-month-year way (though I suppose it makes sense if you read it out as words and not numbers), and I always hope to see some day past the 12th in that format to be sure which day or month is meant!
Do you have plans for your day coming up?
Historically, Canadians have always been pretty ambivalent about the numeric date order. Technically, we use a day/month/year format, but the american month/day/year has been popular for a long time so people tend to do what they like. Also, the official international date standard of year/month/day is widely used in canadian industry (eg: expiry dates) so really, there's no point in writing the date at all, because no one will know what you mean.
On the upside, Canadians get another crack at the clock thing on May 4th (04/05/06). Sadly, we already missed the one on May 6th, 2004. Oh well, two outta three ain't bad.
