Yay, I'm happy to be working on a new knitting project. I'm trying to keep kicking it up a notch until I can eye htngs in the store and be all, oh whatever, I made something better than that and it only cost 57 cents! HA!
Or somehting. Since I finished Frank, my first 3D project, I decided to try my first ever cable, so I did a little one, but I guess I picked a weird one and sort of screwed it up in one place but I don't care! I did it, so now I'm making a cardigan! What could possibly go wrong!
Not that those projects follow logically, per se, but I'm a fake-it-till-you- make-it kind of girl, and this chunky cardi is knit up in 9mm, how freaking hard core is that! I'm packing 9mm's, oh baby yeah. Don't mess with my reverse stockinette. Anyway, it's fun and I'm so freshly into it I can't tell how horribly skewed it likely will be yet. Being aware of my fake-it-till-you-make-it personality type, and I am using some donated free yarn from someone else's abandoned project, so this is a free knit. I'm going to do it up and if I like it and whatever I'll inevitable screw up can be fixed, I'll either make another one with some good wool I have and donate this one, or love and enjoy it for what it is: a big old chunky first ever cardigan. It may be a case of the extra slim model making it look good, so I'm interested to see how it fits.
Anywhoo . This past weekend I had three separate plans with three separate people and due to the sand of our lives and the world turning all three plans fell through, so instead I nursed my tendonitis, knit a bunch, made scones, slept, bought knitting needles (expensive!) and basically was a woman-about-the-house. It was relaxing, so despite two phone calls (one at 4:30 am, the next at 5:30 am) and cats in plastic bags (crinkly!) I feel remarkable fine. I am going to use that momentum to handle some less than riveting work.
Take it easy, thanks for stopping by. Heh. I feel so Mr. Rogers when I say that.
