Ew, not the band, the tea house!
I went there last night, it's on York street. I went with a good buddy and we were going to have a relaxing tea and possible baked delight in the evening but when we got there it was just closing because it had been dead since 6 pm. We got a tea to go but here is what I am asking you:
please go to this tea house! This is the kind of place that is worth supporting and keeping open. And here is why.
It is a really comfortable converted house with a frillion loose teas that they will sell to you by weight or whip up into a blend of your choice. This place also has the same deal but with coffees, too, if you dig that kind of thing. This place has tea accessories! What more do you want in life? Anyway, I had a kick butt Jamaican Chai Spice and it was delish.
Next time will go earlier and partake in their samosa deal: two samosas and a big old tea of your choice for $5.75. mmmm.
Thay also have deserts and stuff that are home made and probably change with the whim of the owner, so go frequently. Bring your knitting/reading, spend $2 on a deliciousness and support Ottawa businesses that encourage joy inthe deepest and most tea-centric way possible. mmmm.
heh.
I'm crossing into a heavier level of cat-ownership. Up from the affection level to the accessory level. I've decided to marry my latest crafty discoveries:
- tutorial on how to frog sweaters from thrift stores to reclaim the wool and
- make a felted cat bed
Yeah, I said 'make a felted cat bed'. You'll just have to deal with it. It's really perfect, though. I get to use cheap wool from the VV Boutique, learn to frog a manufactured sweater AND learn to felt all in one cheap, economical and possibly useful project! I'm excited, but now I have to finish the cardi I'm working on so I don't develop a huge stash of yarn and UFOs (unfinished objects).
Oh man, I'm talking the talk. Better take a break...
