Meet the Man

Oh wait, you've already met?

Heyyyy, so I'm just waiting to get my e-mail sorted out and security pass stuff and phone access help etc etc, just as all first days at the office should be. I'm baaaaaack!

I didn't know that when using a different browser to view the blog, you can't see all the nice polka dots, it just looks jaundiced. Hm. So maybe I'll need to figure out more about skins and backgrounds and stuff to pretty this thing up for reals. At home, obviously (hi, office!).

Everyone has been lovely and helpful and kind, and it seems like there are a bunch of good people here, so I'm lucky once again. Actually, so far my biggest adjustment is this keyboard. It's the kind witth the extra long shift on one side and the extra short one on the other, so all my capital "i" are looking more like \i which is by far the WEAKEST PROBLEM ever to have.

Geez.

So, December is the celebrating season. Above and beyond the Christmas family obligations times two this year, there is the added bonus of my sister's birthday, Didgeman's birthday, and as a special one-time-only event, Sister's Man's permanent residency! So that's excellent. And definitely worthy of a martini party, don't you think? I think so. I'm excited to host my first ever actual cocktail party, and I'm dying for a 50's style apron, ideally plain with a martini embroidery on one side, OR with e repeating toaster pattern. You know, the usual. That would be chic. I just realized that \i need pearls! And a shirt! Whatever, there's time.

We're also hosting a New Year's party this year, at the cottage. We made up actual official paper invitations and sent them out, and it was fabulous fun. If the weather permits, we'll have ice fishing and snowshoeing and skating and hot chocolate + Bailey's and festivities all night long. It'll be a camping-indoors-non-winterized-cottage-style! Whoot!

Okey doke. I had better het more tech help with my phone and stuff. I fear the computer man has forgotten about me :( booooo.

Have a good day
xoxo
