Life Lessons

So last nigh for dinner we had homemade guacamole and organic corn chips and cheese for dinner. Then Rob had his class at the College (he's taking an early childhood education series from Partners for Children) to get a certification. Here is an actual sample comment from the instructor on his last assignment: "Those children are very fortunate to have you here. I am so happy that you have somehow managed to get into this line of work. I feel fortunate that you take our workshops and give me energy and inspiration, thank you" .

Ever had a teacher actually thank you for attending their class? I'm proud :-)

Anyway, the main event. So Rob gets back from class and he's fine, then he notices he has a bit of a rocky stomach. And then , every 45 minutes from that point until 7 a.m. Rob was up purging his system. Fun fact: the human body can hold (and then release) a tremendous amount of water.

So we took the day off to recover. I went out and bought a sick kit...baby food (mmm puree and rice cracker dissolvy biscuits) juice and vitamin water and ginger ale. Now Rob is sleeping and I am supervising the cats as they go about their grueling schedule of napping and stretching in different parts of the living room.

The next thing I have to consider is what to do with the next 6 avocados we happen to have. Because there is no way on god's green (hee) earth he will eat an avocado for a long, long time.

ps baby food! pureed fruit and such, cheap and few calories..seems like a good work snack, right? Just get'm on sale and you can have a jar of strawberries with no preservatives or artificial colours or anyhing. Perfect!

ps boo illness, but yay having a guest room for yours truly. Awesome.
