BC pictures

I found a few of my summer trip pictures (the rest along with my out east pictures are on CD's somewhere, waiting to be printed...hopefully soon!).

This is a picture of my feet (it's a habit I have of always taking a few pictures of me feet wherever I am as a sort of placement thing. It's nice because when I'm travelling alone, I can still get an establishing shot with me in it. And I'm always like" aw, I miss those shoes!" when I look at old pictures. anyways, here are my feet and a rock formation thingy at the tidepool place in BC (best tidepools ever, if you time it right, they are so deep you can sometimes see octopus). Anyways, the tidepools formed because of harder rocks being embedded in softer rock, which wears away faster. The stones are loosened and start to roll around with the waves, and eventually carve out deep and round cylindrical tide pools which are worls rnouned. It's ultra, ultra cool. We got up at 4 to drive two hours to be there are sun up for the lowest tide we could get while I was in the area. Not fully low tide, but still excellent.

Here is a bear I saw. it was extra close up and the first bear I ever saw. It was really really cool, and I was glad I was in a car. I mean, I was glad I wrestled it to the ground till it grunted bear for 'uncle' and we declared a truce and he said I could take his picture from my car as he had a snack of berries. It was cool. We were searching and searching for bears and all kinds of wildlife and I have to say, BC really delivered. I saw eagles, bears, mountain goats, wild salmon, crabs, whales, and more. It was like an episode of "the green forest' mixed with an episode of 'flipper' but without all the animation or miami drug runners as antagonists. It was an amazing trip!

anyways, it was good times! I'll see if I can find the rest of my pictures and I will add more highlights later.

bye bye
