Never mind

I'm taking comments moderation off. Maybe we'll learn something from the spammers.

Rob cut off all his hair. I was planning to post pictures, but the camera's broken BUT THEN we remembered we have a wicked web cam thanks to C&M!

Some pics of Rob's new bean shave, a term I thought Rob invented, but Alan tells me he didn't. There you have it.

Summer hair is fun , AND the cost of the clipper kit ($12) is less than one cut at his favourite hair place (a Korean lady called Elaine. She's nice). Therefore, he has already made his money back on the investment, and his hats fit better. This'll be his first busking season where he can wear hats, since he already has a big head and with the dreads, it was basically impossible. Take THAT sunstroke.

Last weekend we went to Guelph's eco-market and Rob sold all the didges he brought and 5 CD's, plus made some busking coin. It was a fun day for me too. I volunteered a little bit then futzed around with my friend K for a while. I almost bought some shoes I'm in love with, but I was worried they weren't quite the right size. They were $70, and that's at half off. And they are worth full price. Check it out:

The sandals were last year's design, size 10 lime green. Beautiful. Made for hiking, walking, river running, canoeing (why does spell check want to turn that into cameoing?)and splashing around. They are meant to survive salt water, freshwater, grime and grit. They are meant to be lived in and I will have a pair, oh yes. And I will LIVE IN THESE SHOES.

Oh and also, on the way home we stopped off at teh local shoue outlet store to see if they had these sandals. They had wicked knock off pairs, except only for dudes, so GUESS who got a pair of my beautiful sandals! If you guesed me, you are wrong! So, half the household is outfitted. Hopefully I am next.

Phew.

So, I have a lot of airmile points (not enough to fly. Does that ever happen?), and I want a whole pile of books so I was thinking of trading in the points for Chapters gift cards. BUT I want to support my local and awesome independent bookstore near my home. Maybe what I'll do is get the chapters gift card, sell it to someone who either will buy it off me straight or I'll discount it, then use the case to buy books from my local. Strategies! Does that work out? Chapters still wins, but my local doesn't lose as much this way. Ethics is complicated, MAN!

I htink that's it for now.
