drama

There's been a little bit of drama in the aquarium! On the morning of my birthday (thanks fr the good wishes, more on that in a second) I awoke to discover some snail eggs above the waterlone. How did they know? It's exactly what I wanted!!! I can't tell who the babymama is. We have three snails ad they seem to be molesting each other on a fairly regula basis, and wiki tells me they have to be wither chicks or dudes, so hopefully these eggsa re legit and we have some mini-snails on the run. Maybe when we see what colour they are and can guess the parentage better, as two snails are ivory, and one is black. Maybe snail genes don't work like that? Wiki also tells me that the type of snails we have can be used as escargots and consumed. $20/pound (if the babies are born). Heh. I kid.

Also! The female guppie is preggers too! Or, she's a binge eater. Even though we're really excited about the fertile plains of our aquarium, we aren't installing a nursery, sicne we can't actually contain that many beings, so we're gonna work it out wild kingdom style ansd see who makes it. It osunds sick when I write it! I guess it is sick. Ah well. What's a vegetaian to do, pan fry the buggers?

So. I turned 26! It was nice! The night before I went out for an unrelated event but yu could argue my birthday was acknowledged. Then, ont he day of I had a nice morning with Rob. I opened some very thoughtful and exciting gifts. Then I had the afternoon to myself, which was really, really nice. I bought skittles and starburst andhotdogs andonion rings. Since all that is really gross, I only had a little bit of it. Except the skittles, which I demolished.

Other than that, it's all school, all the time> Wednesday is the due daye for my thesis proposal (written) and it needs some more length and some more facts. Wish me speed and more specifically, self discipline! whee.

Okay, here's to seeing some spring weather, eh?

onion rings! Now there's a craving I didn't realize I had until just now.

Glad to hear your b-day was a success. I mean, skittles etc, is a guaranteed winner.

Good luck with the proposal - no more procrastinating!
