I complained about the ice weather here but I take it back.
We are experiencing an ice storm full school cancellation. My first "snow-esque" day in many years. It feels glorious.
Off to do dishes and other celebratory household activities! Man, I just feel sorry for my graduate student friends who don't have any reason to be in school today, as the holiday feeling is wasted on them.
I, on the other hand, am elated. No TA meeting! No biking to school! No obligations!
I'm chuffed* about the whole thing.
*(apparently pleased enough to bring out the British slang).
Hope your days are filling up with bonuses too.

Hahah! I love that feeling! I've never had an ice day before but it sounds like the same thing I feel when I accidentally set the alarm for saturday morning. The thing goes off but thenyou realize you dont have to get up, you turn off the alarm turn around and curl back up in bed and fall asleep again. The best is when you can hear the wind and the rain on your window too... perfect!
