Well, I guess it's been a few weeks so I'm going to check in. School's back in and I've attended all my "first" classes for the semester. My friend and I are choosing to sit in on a Spanish course (1st year undergrad) and it's going to be very fun. Although I have to say, we wanted to stab ourselves in the face when the prof spent almost the whole class reading, very slowly, the course outline including all the crap about plagiarism. She ended up being very very cute though, and she's knowledgeable. Go ahead and laugh but I found out that the letter "y" which is i grieca in Spanish and ygreque in french, actually means the Gree letter "i". Like, duh! Never knew but it's as plain as day. Also, me llama Marianne. Como te llama usted? Ha Haaaaa! So far, it's good. Also, first year undergraduates are funny.
Holidays were nice but super hectic. Next year we'll plan better so it's less shuffling around from east end to west end and we'll feel more rested. We had alovely time and got some really thoughtful gifts which always feels good. I got a beautiful swift and ballwinder and a super nice pottery jug and wine goblet set from a local guy. Time to get (tastefully) medieval on wine! Yah! So, I have to wind some yarn and keep on knitting on Rob's sweater. I knit up the 3 balls I brough home super fast, and got stumped with the instructions, so I'm going to knit up a sleeve and see how it's supposed to connect up at the top, because I'm so easily confused with patterns. Pictures when it's done.
This semester is going to be busier and I'm so happy about that. It means I'll waste less time in general. Already the apartment is looking better and I've been on my bike every day, due to global warming. I saw a futurama episode where they said global warming sucked, and good thing nuclear winter cancelled it out! heh. Go Kim Jong Il! We need you more than ever!
Just kidding. I'm still harbouring a small bitterness that I haven't been able to snowshoe yet, but it is nice to be on my bike and not skidding out of control all over the place. My thesis development is coming along and I wil post it when I'm feeling more settled about the whole thing. It's going to be cool though. My class is all over the place with theses, so it's a fun bunch of people.
Alright, I suppose that's it for now. Maybe soon we'll upgrade our internet and it will make posting pictures more feasible. I always like seeing pictures. Maybe you do too!
Take it easy and have fun forcing yourselves to write 2007 instead of 2006!

i miss biking! i might break it out for non-run days (yes, i have those now, patpat).
because of deadlines and stuff for my job, i've been writing 2007 for months, but still get caught when i have to write it not for work. it made the transition to the new year kind of blurred for me.
