Sorry about the time lapse, I think it maybe a little difficult to keep the mytripjournal.com and this thing going right now.
Anywys, a little anecdote about how Rob and I apparently travel together.
In Alice Springs (the dead centre!) we had made plans to take the train (The Legendary Ghan, the train staff were fond of reminding us) up to Darwin. This length of track was just finished in 2004 and we were told to book ahead as much as possible. So we booked in March. We totally lost the confirmation number, oof course, but whatever we'll call about it later.
Fast forward to June 12th, the dayof our trip. We decide, oh yeah, maybe we should call about the trip( the train only leraves oce a week). We call, the lady is really nice and it turns out has friends in Ottawa, we chat and are friendly which is SO GOOD becayse we were booked for the 10th. Two days ago. The train leaves TWO TIMES A WEEK. FUUUUUUUUCK!
But, since chatting is good, the girl actually just switched us over to the 12th and we were on our way. The rules say we should have lost our tickets and had to buy new ones, at a cost of about $500. Whoopsie.
So now we're on 8 lives travel wise. Phew!
Anyway, we made it, made s frindon the way anad rode The legendary ghan. Life is good. Also, it's now tropical, so hello flip flops, good bye fleecies!

i got the job at health canada! i'm done here two weeks today and start there two weeks monday. it's a 12 month term and i'm super excited! i know a guy who was also hired - he starts next wednesday.
hope you guys are having a good time and a good adventure driving to perth. i wish i could be there!
