Holy-o-moley,
This past week we went to Waterloo and it was pretty meh. Like, it's nice, but not very interesting from the outside. We'll have to really look around and make it wonderful when we get settled there. In an apartment, which, really, we have yet to find but you know. Whatev. It'll be fine, I'm sure, because either something unexpectedly great will happen, or we'll sort something out and make it fine. I'm expecting the latter but hoping for the former!
Last night was pizza night at Batman's. It was a lovely gathering and I had a super yum pizza. It was cool to have cheese again for the first tie in a while. Thanks Batman, it was super nice to see you guys again, and to hear Al and Sylvia's Greece stories/pictures! I wish the weather was a nicer transition for you two getting back!
As for the getting out of here front, it's coming lang a well as can be expected, possibly. We still have a bunch of loads to do, but those are the kinds of things that eventually always get done, right? This is our second last night in our bed, and then it'll be a few solid days of wishing so hard we had our bed (a solid day of sitting up! whee). I bought my first and only pair of flight socks, which are light tension soocks that supposedly support your leg and help prevent swelling while helping out circulation. No leg thrombosis for me! Also, they are anti-microbial, so yeah, sold.
Other than that it's all details details details! Australian money, travel clothes (fun!), dress accessories, packing, packing, packing visits, accommodation bookings (mostly taken care of by my valient sister and brother in law (I'm totally using that now! yee!) etc etc. I'm sure it's all thrilling and what not to read about. Suffice to say that the next time we set up shop (W'Loo) we'll probably never be happier to just sit down for a bit. And hang out on the order of years rather than months. And then, I'll want to leave again, based on my patterns but whatever, WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW.
So, it's late in the morning and there are boxes to be packed! Things to discard! Unrealized plans to repent! (that last one sucks. Why does promising yourself to grow up never seem to work?).
You guys take care. R and i wrote our first entry in our MyTripJournal.com and I'll just send it out. Let me know if you haven't received ad e-mail and would lke to , and reject the invite if you would rather not get the postingsI promise we won't be offended (unless you are our moms, in which case, what the heck?). Maybe you'll be interested, maybe not. So far it contains a fascinating look at our place. The beaded curtains are a nice touch, don't you think?
xoxo
