So then SHE said...

It wasn't a marsupial at all!!

Last night was the comedy night at Absolute comedy. It ended up being fun, and I laughed lots, which was really good. I was nervous because sometimes I get overly invested in performers and I feel anxious that they are probably anxious and it makes things difficult if things don't turn out as planned. If you know what I mean. It's maybe not the healthiest of outlooks, but I have a hard time disengaging myself from most all performers, and since I know I would be mortified to be there (despite the fact that they are clearly NOT mortified) I feel anxious about it. So , no 'Funniest Home Videos' for me. And that's also why I cried at King Kong. I should stop talking about this now.

And I freaked a little when I saw that our table was actually almost touching the stage, I mean, I had my toes touching the stage with no stretch. But then, that turned out fine. Nobody picked on the audience at all, though a few times the audience picked on the performer. I've never been to a show like that and wasn't expecting the 6-7 people doing 6 minute sets one after the other, but it was great because it kept things fresh, and if, for example, I wasn't totally into the guy with really blue eyes but really red eyeballs and hash jokes, it was a only a tick in time before the next one was out, and I liked lots of the acts. I enjoyed lots of the routines, some were really well crafted, and the last guy was quick on his feet. During the headliner's set I actually laughed hard enough to need a second to catch my breath. It all seemed to go really fast, though!

I think Batman's team did well, I hope, there were lots of people there and they had a draw and everything. I couldn't stay for the draw because it was past my bedtime (come to my 90th birthday party!) but everyone looked happy, so that was great.

Hooray for fun nights out.

Tonight is S&B but I think I might grab a bottle of wine at the LCBO. It's been a weird couple of days and it's probably going to be another weird couple of days, and so I think it'll be a good time to break open that LCBO gift card I have. R would appreciate some Bailey's I know, and I've sure never been known to complain about that stuff.

Have a nice day, thanks for stopping by.
