We went to see King Kong last night. Did anyone else tear up at he end? If you have an animal living with you, I bet you did. Unless you have a cold, cold heart. Cold as/Cold as/Ice.
Anyway, so it was super extra long, but I liked it. I felt they abused the edge of your seat intensity a little bit in the middle there, like you can only have your most shocked reaction so many consecutive times before you are forced to be less shocked, but it was very cool. I was singularly ignorant over the story so I was surprised the whole time and it was a lovely ride.
Also, I WAY developed a crush on the Ann woman. She was so. hot. And fresh looking despite weeks or months on a transport ship (with surprisingly gentlemanly sailors) leading to a daring jungle marathon peppered by absolutely terrifying events. The actual Ann probably would have passed out in the first 10 minutes on the island to spend the last moments of her life (before getting eaten by the island's inhabitants, take your pick on whichever ones you want) with little bits of dried barf all over herself. But the whole perfect hair/healthy complexion/intact flesh-toned negligée worked too. Maybe it's because they don't make flesh-toned negligées like they used to, with craftmanship, or with the rigorous jungle testing. But I still think she's really cute.
It was nice to get out and get back to the Mayfair. The last time we went was probably October some time.
Go check ou the movie if you have a good sitter's butt and a penchant for the fantastic.
Time for worky worky! Have a lovely day.
